The
traveling has finally ended! We left the hotel this morning after a delicious
breakfast overlooking a great view, and started the long 5 hour drive to Moyo
Hill, our final destination. The ride was long, bumpy, and sometimes slow (occasional
cattle crossings!), but I got some great pictures along the way. We even ran
into a few baboons sitting on the side of the road as we drove through Lake
Manyara National Park!
Unpacking
and a little bit of orientation rounds out today. Tomorrow we meet with faculty
here at the school and learn a little bit about what to expect over the next
few weeks. After getting completely settled in, all I can say is it feels so
good to be back. The long flights, the lay over, the heavy bags – in the end,
it’s all worth the trouble just to be back in Africa.
